# Requirements

You need these things before you run Kaizo.

## System

* Linux x86\_64 (64 bit)
* glibc 2.35 or newer
* Sober installed and running

## Distros

Kaizo runs on every mainline Linux distro. That includes:

* Ubuntu
* Linux Mint
* Arch
* Fedora
* Debian
* openSUSE
* Pop!\_OS
* Manjaro
* EndeavourOS
* NixOS (needs extra setup, see NixOS)
* and similar

## Display

You need a desktop session with X11 or Wayland.

Every window manager is supported. See Desktops and window managers.

Sober still has to run as XWayland. The command is on that page. Run it, then restart Sober.

## Also needed

* A valid Kaizo license key
* sudo on the first run so the cheat can attach to the game

## Next

Go to Desktops and window managers, then How to run.

Back to Installation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kaizo-1.gitbook.io/kaizo-docs/installation/requirements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
